Set up for the Award Season, 'A Monster Calls' looks like a visually stunning adaptation of the book by Patrick Ness.

Felicity Jones stars as the terminally ill mother of a young boy named Conor. Without his father and unloved by his grandmother (Sigourney Weaver), Conor finds the help of a friendly tree-shaped monster (Liam Neeson) who tells stories during the night.

Arrival

Sicario director Denis Villeneuve returns with yet another much-hyped drama about the Arrival of aliens on our planet.

Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker star as the people who have to investigate and communicate with the UFO's. And based on director's body of work, this'll be a much more intelligent and exciting drama than a certain alien invading blockbuster sequel this summer that didn't star Will Smith.

Brimstone

Dakota Fanning and Guy Pearce lead this dark western about a young mother on the run in 19th-century America. Fiercely she has to protect her children in a non-stop journey across states.

Brimstone also stars Game of Thrones' Kit Harington and Carice van Houten.

I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House

Ruth Wilson stars as a naïve nurse who takes care of a horror writer working on her new novel, The Lady in the Walls.

Slowly she begins to see the main character of the horror story has some striking similarities to her, and might hold clues to her own future.

La La Land

By now everyone has probably heard about the much-hyped musical 'La La Land,' by 'Whiplash' director Damien Chazelle.

Director Ana Lily Amirpour follows her highly acclaimed 'A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night' up with this unusual love story.

Keanu Reeves, Jason Momoa, Jim Carrey and Giovanni Ribisi star in a dystopian future, where a love story blooms amongst a tribe of cannibals.

The Girl with All the Gifts

Gemma Arterton, Glenn Close and Paddy Considine star in this zombie drama, about a little girl who may hold the cure for humanity.

Most people invected with a virus turn into nothing but aggressive zombies. But some of them can function normally if they don't smell flesh. Melanie is one of them. And a scientist thinks her brain holds the clues to the world's rescue.

Black Mirror Season 3

Charlie Brooker's 'Black Mirror' has build quite the following in recent years. Now in the hands of the global Netflix, after taking it from the UK Channel 4 for a reported $40 million, the series will return with 6 brand new episodes on October 21 — double the amount of the previous seasons.

Two of the episodes will premiere at TIFF this year. One starring Bryce Dallas Howard, about a society where every interaction is rated, called 'Nosedive.' And one with Mackenzie Davis ('Halt and Catch Fire'), set in the late 1980s, called 'San Junipero.'

Transparent Season 3
