Update on Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's films in progress

JamesArthurArmstrong JamesArthurArmstrong Two of the most successful purveyors of R-rated comedy over the past seven years, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are currently riding high on their Universal Pictures hit Neighbors, which has grossed $134 million as of Friday ($220 million worldwide).

The duo produced the movie for just $18 million with Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) directing. They took part in the Produced by Conference currently happening in Los Angeles over the weekend, and Deadline was there to document some of the bullet points from their discussion.

Although Goldberg and Rogen have taken meetings to discuss the sequel to Neighbors, they're still not sure if they will move forward with that sequel. In the meantime, they're developing a movie called Jazz Cops, which will co-star Rogen with Kevin Hart—who had a small role in Rogen's film breakout The 40-Year-Old Virgin—the two of them playing '50s policemen trying to go undercover in the jazz scene.

Currently, they're working on finishing up The Interview, their second feature as directors, for its 10th October release and are in production on the animated Sausage Party and pre-production on Rogen's Christmas comedy which reunites him with 50/50 co-star Joseph Gordon Levitt and director Jonathan Levine.
