Video: Kevin Smith gives Tarantino and Rodriguez a private viewing of Clerks II in 2005
With Kevin Smith about to go into production on Clerks III, we found this very interesting video of Kevin Smith, Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez following a private screening of Clerks II.
Smith invited QT and Rodriguez round to his house in 2005 to watch the sequel to his breakthrough indie masterpiece, Clerks.
It was a viewing Smith must of been very nervous about. Tarantino had just come off the success of both Kill Bill films and Rodriguez had earlier that year released the brilliant Sin City— so their opinions where very much respected in Smith's mind.
Clerks II was met with mixed opinions. Die hard fans where bursting with excitement of the sequel, others felt Smith may of been wiser to leave Clerks as a stand alone film.
