Eddie Redmayne on Marilyn Monroe and Colin Clark in My Week With Marilyn

Interview with Eddie Redmayne, who plays Colin Clark, the writer of the book, in My Week with Marilyn.

He talks about the script of the biopic. "It's just and amazing show and demonstration of filmmaking at this period. Of the clash of two cultures." And how naive his character in the film is.

On the relationship between Marilyn Monroe and Colin Clark. "He sees more of what's going on behind the specifics that are happening on set. He gets a more rounded perspective of the whole story of Marilyn Monroe."

He talks about being a fan of Michelle Williams. "This sort of idea of 'brave' is thrown around quite a lot in our industry. I think the idea of taking on that role, both she and Kenneth Branagh, is dumbfounding. And seeing how meticulously she work, through the movement. Through the vocal. Through the dance. Through the text. I mean, it's been refitting."

Eddie Redmayne also talks about Simon Curtis and the best moments in the film.
