Ken Jeong talks about playing Mr. Chow in The Hangover 2

What was it like to be part of The Hangover Part II?

Ken Jeong: Oh, it was more than a dream come true. The Hangover was a dream come true. So for me to be part of the sequel, God, to have this opportunity is just beyond my wildest dreams. Absolutely.

What is your relationship like with Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis?

We're all friends off camera and we're good friends. And I had known or worked with them prior to even the first Hangover. And the great part, we even got to be better friends in the second movie. And what I loved about, for me personally, being able to work with my favorite actors, who are also my friends. And my favorite director, who is also a friend. You know, you can't get any better than that and it's exactly where I wanted to be. What I wanted to do. And then some. And to have this kind of role just blows my mind. And I'm so grateful for that and I don't take it for granted. And I know that it's just a wolf pack and being able to role with them is just, come on, it's insane.

What is your favorite scene in The Hangover II?

My favorite scene actually is during the car chase when we're being chased. And my rear view mirror just shot off. And everyone else is horrified and like, crap, o my God! And I'm like: hahaha, funny! And that to me is my favorite scene. Because that to me is what Chow is the whole second movie. He just loves the chaos. So I made sure, from the rest of the movie that anytime they reacted negatively to something, I'd always be positive. That to me informed my character. Chow just loves chaos. He embraces it. He couldn't be at a library reading a book, you know. He'd blow his brains out. He needs to be... he's a thrill seeker, you know. He's a bit of a sociopath. He's basically if the Joker in The Dark Knight and Joe Pesci in Goodfellas had a kid and then peed on it. Maybe. Hahaha, pee pee funny. Yeah.

Ken Jeong also talks about Mr. Chow's accent. How The Hangover changed his career. What it was like working with director Todd Phillips. And how Bangkok set the tone of The Hangover Part II.
