"Get Out": One Year Later
Jordan Peele’s ‘Get Out’ premiered in theaters one year ago this week (February 23, 2017 at 7pm ET). — The first time I saw the trailer for “Get Out” was at a showing of “The Birth of a Nation” in Oct. 2016. I didn’t really know that Jordan Peele was writing and directing a movie - and this trailer stuck with me: mysterious and unique. And it certainly didn’t look like a comedy - already new territory for the funnyman.
It Has Something to Say
Get Out is Jordan Peele's (Of Key & Peele and Madtv fame) directorial debut and jesus christ, he is not playing around. Get Out is the best (and most original) movie to come out this year, and it's amazing that this is Peele's first film, and not his fifth.
"Get Out" Review
I rarely see horror movies. Normally, in a given week, there are much better options in the pool of new releases to check-out (not to mention the fact that the majority of efforts in the genre are generic and unoriginal).
