"Godzilla Resurgence" Coming To America
During their SDCC panel, Funimation Films announced they acquired the North American theatrical, VOD and broadcast rights to Godzilla Resurgence (aka Shin Godzilla). The acquisition also covers South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
CEO and President of Funimation Gen Fukunaga stated the following in a press release: "Funimation is extremely pleased to be working with Toho to bring Shin Godzilla to audiences across the Americas. Godzilla became a science fiction icon from the moment Toho brought it to the big screen in 1954. We’re honored to be a part of its rich history.”
Funimation Films intends to theatrically release Godzilla Resurgence (Shin Godzilla) in late 2016.
