HBO Cancels "Vinyl" After Renewing the Drama for Season Two
The second season of Vinyl will not be moving forward as HBO has canceled the rock-n-roll drama. HBO originally greenlit a second season with plans to revamp the series by bringing in new showrunner, Scott Z. Burns.
HBO released the following statement: "After careful consideration, we have decided not to proceed with a second season of Vinyl. Obviously, this was not an easy decision. We have enormous respect for the creative team and cast for their hard work and passion on this project."
Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger were executive producers on the series. Along with being a co-creator, Terence Winter was also the showrunner for season one and an executive producer.
