Chris Hemsworth will star in Joe and Anthony Russo's Netflix thriller 'Dhaka'
Joe and Anthony Russo’s next project serves as a bittersweet reminder that life after the MCU won’t necessarily be a bad thing
The high profile directing duo, along with fellow Avenger Chris Hemsworth will take their talents to film Netflix’s next action thriller, Dhaka.
In Dhaka, Hemsworth stars as a “physically brave” but emotionally broke mercenary who is hired to save the son of a businessman whose been kidnapped by drug dealers in the capital of Bangladesh.
Dhaka marks one of a few high profile films that will fall under Joe and Anthony Russo’s new production banner AGBO. Black Panther's Chadwick Boseman is set to star and co-produce along with Joe and Anthony in 17 Bridges, and Andy and Barbara Muschietti (the team behind Warner Bros. IT) will adapt Simon Stalenhag’s sci-fi novel The Electric Slate in what AGBO hopes to be their next big tent pole feature.
Dhaka will be directed by Chris Evans’ stunt coordinator and Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers IV second unit director, Sam Hargrave.
There are still a few unknowns such as who has been tapped to write and when to expect a release.
Production is slated to begin shooting November in India and Indonesia.
