Official Trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn's Amazon Series 'Too Old To Die Young'

GregHarmon GregHarmon Managing Editor Amazon's newest noir-thriller is co-written by the talented (and divisive) Nicolas Winding Refn and Ed Brubaker (Captain America: Winter Soldier, Westworld).

If you’re a glutton for a brand of nihilistic dread drenched in existential crisis, then Too Old To Die Young may be just what the doctor ordered.

Check out the trailer below!

The official trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn’s new 10-hour movie - yes we're calling this a movie - stars Miles Teller as a grieving police officer who finds himself indebted deep within LA’s seedy criminal underbelly.

Much of the trailer's 3-minute runtime features a hypnotic voice-over between Teller and astrological character played by the great John Hawkes who, along with his mysterious partner played by Jena Malone, see the world as a "fractured" place, recruiting Teller to help them “protect" the "innocents.”

After reading Refn's original logline, it's apparent Too Old weaves a philosophical narrative whereby Teller's existential journey as a "criminal killer" ultimately transforms him (perhaps others) through spiritual and physical disciplines practiced by Zen Buddhists, or perhaps better known as "the way of the warrior."

I did say this is a Nicolas Winding Refn joint, didn't I?
